HRA is working with B+H Architects as the chief designer for a group of three lake side, luxury resorts located within the rolling hills outside of Shijiazhuang, a city southwest of Beijing. This project brings together ideas that Howard has been developing, to create a modern style with the inviting character, warmth and individuality of the resorts of the golden age of travel. The style is picturesque (broken down into asymmetrical groupings) to give the three separate hotels a relaxed informality on the site. Within an overall consistent design aesthetic, each resort is given its own special features and design character. This variety was essential to encourage guests to explore the entire site, enjoying the various services which include many day spas and dining experiences located throughout the three buildings on the site.

Howard is heading to Hong Kong to work on this project as well as other hotels for the B+H team. He will be the design director for these new projects, working with the global experts at B+H CHIL Design.
